Drain and Wash | Kingwood, Texas
If you want to keep your pool surface looking crisp and clean then you’re going to have to accept the fact that you will have to drain the pool from time to time. The depth of the drain depends on the work being done – some cleanings and maintenance only require a fraction of the pool to be drained whereas other services may require the entire swimming space to be emptied. No matter which option needs to be done, we can handle it. We guarantee that our professional experience and training will be more than enough to get the job done and get it done well.
If you start to notice some algae or stain buildup on the floor of your pool, it’s likely time to consider doing a professional drain, acid wash, and/or pressure wash to get the surface of the pool back to sparkling shape. Oh, and don’t worry - this type of thing is totally normal and will need to be done from time to time in order to ensure the longevity of your investment. Often, algae buildup is caused by poor winterization tactics or simply just by leaving the pool unattended. In addition, minerals and other substances can dissolve and build up over time leaving your pool looking flaky, pale, and/or corroded.
Why should you acid wash your pool? Or better yet, why should Kingwood Pool Services do it for you?
Well, it’s the tried and true method for getting the pool surface back in tip top shape. You should avoid doing it yourself…unless you remember 7th grade science class and the classic P.A.W.S method when dealing with acid and water. Regardless, what happens when you drain and clean (or “acid wash”) the pool is that the acid is removing the top layer of plaster. In other words, it’s removing the layer of the pool surface that contains all those dang stubborn stains! Be weary though, you don’t want to acid wash too often or else you will have to fully re-plaster your pool…an opportunity for a fun design process but not too fun for the pocket! (Good thing you’ve found us because we can both re-plaster your pool if the damage is done, or better yet we will put all the effort in to prevent you from having to spend those benjamins on a new finish)
